You probably remember Monica from The Pink Artist Doll, when 182 artists came together to create "Love Squared" and support Breast Cancer Research.
Now, again, artists are coming together...this time to bring attention to Women of Juarez...by making Art Dresses and mailing all of them TODAY, July 1st, to Stampington & Company.
My DRESS...
just one...
of many!
Monica "aDRESSes the situation" so well on her blog...I think you'll be glad you made some time to visit.

WOW, as soon as I saw your post I looked at your complete profile because I wanted to see where you were from. Juarez is our sister city and the deaths of all of these young girls is something we see in the news everyday, including all the drug murders that happen everyday. I use to visit Juarez all the time when I was young. It has now been over two years since I've been, even though I have family that lives there. Several U.S. teenagers have been killed recently caught in the middle of gun fire. I applaud your decision to show your support by creating these dresses.
holy smokes, Marilyn - this one is beyond incredible!! I absolutely adore it ... and after seeing just a small sampling of what is making it's way to Stampington, I can not imagine them NOT responding.
Marilyn....It is PREFECT! Great design. I'm hoping since I live in Cal I get a day of grace..

i am so honored to be among such inspiring artists...using their hearst and hands to make a difference.
Dear Marilyn,
Your dress really has the right feel. It looks as if it is really large. The colors are great and so is your message using the Lotteria heart and the woman's face behind the screen, did you paint her?
Thank you,
Constance
Turned out beautifully! Love it!
